From the Archives: Wood Shop Workers Co-operative

This is an episode of our From the Archives series, where shows that got lost in our private archives now get their chance to shine. Because of the changing nature of time, some information may be outdated.

This episode we do a deep dive into what has become a staple of the worker co-op scene in Vancouver, the Wood Shop Workers Co-op. Wood Shop reclaims wood that is considered waste and uses it to make quality sustainable products.

To give us a rundown of its history, and how it got to where it is today, you’ll be hearing from Co-founder and Operations Coordinator, Chris Nichols, and Sales and Marketing Coordinator, Jessica Valentine.

You can find information on custom builds, as well as their currently available collection, all online at woodshop.coop. You can also follow Wood Shop on instagram and twitter @hellowoodshop.

This episode originally aired on March 22, 2016.
