Doing Politics Differently (1) – Jody Wilson-Raybould Independent MP

There’s a federal election on October 21 and abundant studies and stories of Canadians being dissatisfied with the status quo. They are asking questions like what if instead of attack ads, war rooms and battleground ridings, politicians of all stripes worked co-operatively across party lines to solve urgent problems like climate change, poverty and the opioid crisis? Or, what if politicians stopped taking cheap shots at each other and adhering to messaging from their leaders, and instead collaborated on behalf of all Canadians?

Co-operators have long worked this way guided by our values and principles. So Each For All’s election coverage this year will focus on “Doing Politics Differently.” Our first show features an interview with Jody Wilson-Raybould, the Independent MP for Vancouver-Granville. Jody brings her experience in both Indigenous and Federal politics to this important discussion.

About the Author:

I love radio and pursue stories about people and communities working together to solve challenges creatively and often, with a lot of heart. It's the human side of the co-op model that intrigues me. That and any chance to travel, especially to smaller locales, where folks seem to know that co-operating just makes good sense!
