2019 CASC Conference and CMC Congress Previews

La Belle Province is the place to be this year as co-operators gather to share knowledge, best practices, and inspire each other to continue the hard work of ensuring the co-operative sector is responsive to community needs.

June 18-20 is the sixth annual Co-ops and Mutuals Canada Congress (CMC) and it will be held in Quebec City. The theme is 360 Degrees of Co-operation.  We start with host Sandy Goldman, who gets a sneak preview from Daniel Brunette, Director of Advocacy and Partnerships with CMC.

May 27-30 is a gathering of three major organizations: The Canadian Association for Studies in Co-operation (CASC), The International Co-operative Alliance (ICA) and The Association of Co-operative Educators (ACE). This year’s theme is Co-operative Entrepreneurship: Theory and Best Practices. Host Robin Puga discusses what’s in store with CASC President Fiona Duguid.

A big thank you to CASC and CMC for once again sponsoring Each For All to attend their 2019 conferences so we can bring you all the highlights!

I love radio and pursue stories about people and communities working together to solve challenges creatively and often, with a lot of heart. It's the human side of the co-op model that intrigues me. That and any chance to travel, especially to smaller locales, where folks seem to know that co-operating just makes good sense!
