It’s Co-op Week! Each For All is excited to be welcoming listeners through Kootenay Co-op Radio CJLY 93.5 FM in Nelson, BC! Our illustrious guest Zoë Creighton helped us make the connection! We are stoked to be syndicated to the Kootenays!
For those who might not know what Co-op Week is all about, the Co-ops and Mutuals of Canada has a great synopsis. Co-op Week is unique to the Canadian Co-op sector and is a time to celebrate co-operative values and what makes us co-operators different!
For this co-op week we catch up with the Kootenays and hear from Zoë Creighton from the Upper Columbia Co-operative Council about the co-operative happenings in that neck of the woods. From the formation of the Golden Co-op Radio , to collaborating with BCCA’s Co-operate Now program, to the evolution of BC’s Co-op Developers network … we hear it all from the person with their finger on the pulse of Kootenay’s co-operative sector.
In the second part of the show Sandy Goldman interviews Cloe Bayeur-Holland from Kaslo Community Fitness Co-op. How did this co-op get started? What does it mean for the community? And how did the Upper Columbia Co-op Council provide support?
Thanks to our guests, Zoë Creighton and Cloe Bayeur-Holland. And thanks to you for listening! Hope you have a wonderful Canadian Co-op Week!
Thank you so much for bringing the Kaslo Fitness Co-op into creation!
