For those who might not know what Co-op Week is all about, the Co-ops and Mutuals of Canada has a great synopsis. Co-op Week is unique to the Canadian Co-op sector and is a time to celebrate co-operative values and what makes us co-operators different! 

For this co-op week we catch up with the Kootenays and hear from Zoë Creighton from the Upper Columbia Co-operative Council about the co-operative happenings in that neck of the woods. From the formation of the Golden Co-op Radio , to collaborating with BCCA’s Co-operate Now program, to the evolution of BC’s Co-op Developers network … we hear it all from the person with their finger on the pulse of Kootenay’s co-operative sector. 

In the second part of the show Sandy Goldman interviews Cloe Bayeur-Holland from Kaslo Community Fitness Co-op. How did this co-op get started? What does it mean for the community? And how did the Upper Columbia Co-op Council provide support?
