People’s Co-op Bookstore is 75 and Going Strong!

Canada’s oldest independent bookstore is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year.

To that end, the People’s Co-op Bookstore in Vancouver, is launching a fundraising drive so that it can keep going for another 75 years!

The bookstore has re-opened with physical distancing measures in place and limited hours.

Drop by Saturday and Sunday from 11 am – 4pm.

Gay Lea Foods Co-op Donates Milk to Food Banks

Dairy Farmers in Ontario are stepping up to support food banks across the province already strapped due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Gay Lea Foods Co-operative is providing financial support and donating an extra 200,000 litres of milk to ensure more than 500,000 residents have emergency food support.

The latest reports from Feed Ontario, which administers food banks across the province, shows that 33% of people who rely on their services are children and those under the age of 18.
