BC Libraries Co-op

I really enjoyed working on this show because I love libraries and am a teacher-librarian at an elementary school in the Lower Mainland.

We had a lively discussion with two wonderful guests: In studio was Ben Hyman, Executive Director of the BC Libraries Coop. And phoning in was Tracey Therrien, the chair of the Coop’s Board of Directors and Director of the Gibsons and District Public Library. She has also worked at public libraries in Salmo and Smithers.

We wanted to find out how the BC Libraries Coop supports libraries and how libraries continue to evolve and support their communities.

Here’s that show from June 28, 2016. Enjoy!

About the Author:

I love radio and pursue stories about people and communities working together to solve challenges creatively and often, with a lot of heart. It's the human side of the co-op model that intrigues me. That and any chance to travel, especially to smaller locales, where folks seem to know that co-operating just makes good sense!
